Today's Monster Monday installment of the Horror Movie October graphic design calendar card series is the earnest tale of the trials and tribulations of life as a single mother in The Babadook.

As far as monsters go, the Babadook is pretty fantastic. Think of a horror version of the Jabberwocky... ok, so think of the Jabberwocky. 

I wanted to capture the beautiful tones and contrast used in this film as tools to simulate isolation and captivity; two themes that run heavily throughout the film.
